Collection settings

Tap the gear in the top right of the match selector to open Settings.

Field orientation

Choose which alliance is on the left, as you see the field from your seat: Blue on left or Red on left. The preview shows how the game screen will look. Set this at the start of each event, and again if you move to the other side of the stands, so the buttons line up with the real field.

Fuel input

How the drag on the hub and feeding buttons counts fuel:

• Rate: hold to count up, drag farther to count faster, drag back to count down.
• Count: drag to set the amount.

Match selection

Automatic follows the scouter schedule your lead made. Manual lets you type the match and team. You can also switch from the match selector.

Scouting

• Event: the event you’re scouting. Change it when you go to a new event.
• Scouter: who’s scouting on this phone. Change it when you hand the phone to someone else, so reports are credited to the right person.
• Training mode: reports are still saved and sent, but marked as practice, so they stay out of your team’s analysis. Use it for practice matches and training new scouters, and turn it off for real matches. The post-match screen reminds you when it’s on.

This device

Shows which team the phone is enrolled with.

Reset all settings and data permanently deletes everything Lovat Collection keeps on the phone: settings, the cached schedule, match history, and the phone’s enrollment. You’ll need a new enrollment code to scout again.

Danger

If any reports aren’t in the cloud yet, resetting loses them. Collection warns you first. Send them to a teammate’s Lovat app from History, or wait until they upload, before you reset.

To move a phone to a different team, reset it and enroll it again with the new team’s code.
